This is my first post for 2011. Also, my first post after falling out of a relationship that lasted for 2 years and 8 months. Stracciatella, like how Reza Salleh puts it. But, I guess it's the ups and downs of life. :) I'm glad I experienced it, not too glad I got out of it but yet glad to have been loved and to have loved. Thank you for always being there for me. :)

2011 have been good to me so far. Met new people, got close with new people and of course, lost some along the way. And some, appeared after a long while being missing. I'm pretty sure you know who you are. :) While, one particularly met while I was trying to look for a home for him. Yes, you, Malaysian-Belgian finest. :) The only one of the 3 who stayed back to accompany me and stella lim to get my car from the police station. And, i'm glad you did that. Thank you. :) Also, am so glad that Fizlee popped back into my life. YOU BITCH. :) i hate u. but i love u. thanks for ignoring me at Gili T. i hate u. but i love u. <3

I can't wait to head off to the sea again. To a remote island where nobody disturbs me, no phone calls, no such thing called the data plan, of course, no FB too. Me, the clear blue sea, cocktails and awesome company. :) my ultimate getaway, ultimate relaxation. tanning myself away, understanding foreign language. oh, heavenly. :)

Finally, we booked our getaway to somewhere foreign. :) Wei Lee, Amelia, Punz and myself. Of course one more is always missing-in-action, the singaporean one, Mien. Can't wait to catch up with these girls and our MMU days, our younger days. we're still young now, just younger then. :)

I'm gonna make 2011 different. how? i'll figure that out. :p I'm going to. In every way possible. Gonna wanna realize my dreams. :) Running out of time!

Good Ol' Times

I was looking through my thousands of photos on Facebook at 1.30am on a Monday night. Looking at people i've met, people that i have hung out with, people that i've done things with and go places with... i really miss my old times.

In my course of life, i've met all sorts of people and ive done all sorts of things.. i have my crazy bunch of friends which lepaks and sees my face almost 7 days a week. :) the same crazy bunch that don't mind going to nirwanas everyday too. lol. and also the people that i met during the december 5 season. lol.

and i have my crazy bunch that originated from melaka.... i miss the times where we hungout in a huge big group with the now father-to-be and the singaporean with us all normal malaccans. hehe. it's been a long long time since we last had that kinda session and im really missing it. :)

And as I look further... i miss my friends from university too! i miss having 5 of us hanging out in cahaya dinar drinking 30glasses of drinks! or just a sleep over in amelia's with me revealing some secrets. :) good ol' times.

And along the years.. i met people all over from #chatfriends #hungheng all those channels that became my friends... i met christopher who runs a successful yong tau foo shop and now's the personal photographer of our melaka Chief Minister. :D

and i got bored one day in the office.. and was lingering on forum.lowyat.net and realised there isn't any Malaccan thread.. and i started one! and bam! God blessed me with a group of crazy bunch friends too. :) i love u guys too, ya know my rakyat :)

And then i joined walton and i've also crossed path with some good souls that i'll never forget times that we had, songs that we sang and the mic that i wouldn't let go. some that i'm still so close to till today and one that's even my housemate. :)

I got hooked to couchsurfing for awhile thanx to Nicolekiss. i got to know the people and its unbelievable the experience u get. nothing of the usual. Places the cs-ers go, the things they do.. i've never known there was a waterfall/bbq area at the back of melawati hills for a fact that i was living there for 2 years! not to mention a friend who was born n breed there also don't know!

From CS, i met Zain. He inspires me, really. :) and because of Zain, i got involved with flashmobs and am loving it. I met great people during flashmobs, did great and crazy stuff i've never done. I decorated the monorail and seeing priceless facial expression of the people :) and best of it all to appear on front page of The Star. :) I loved the stomping that we done.. i miss the rehearsals that we had and the fun that i used to have eventhough most of the time i do it alone. :) becoz i meet great people there.

And also some of the important people in my life that have been there for me whatever it takes or wherever it was... things we have done, places we have gone, pictures we have taken.... i miss them all. :)

And i also miss the 4-hour-long conversation i had with my sis for the first time over the telephone. Knowing whats on her mind and her knowing wats on mine... is priceless. i miss the times we hangout together too, especially when she was still a kid. :)

If i could repeat my whole process again, i wouldnt change a thing. because these people have brought joy to my life making my life interesting, making me feel important and activities and things that we do... no money can buy them. :)

Gili Trawangan!

hello guys!!!! i am finally updating my blog .. after gazillion of years! :D

Just got back from Bali and Gili Trawangan in Lombok!! Fantastic place! almost impossible for me not to blog about it. The last time when wei lee suggested bali, i was like.... er no? don't really liked the place. overly commercialized and full jam packed with humans.

But, Gili Trawangan?

That was heaven! the only setback was the journey there ,... the 2 hour ride in the van that goes on bumpy construction roads constantly that gave us all headaches, bodyaches and whatever aches that you could think of! The Gilicat boat ride with 900 horsepower makes u giddy and go cucckoo! but heck! end result.... BEAUTIFUL!

Gili Trawangan has no motorbikes, no cars, no vehicles! the only mode of public transportation is the horse cart! and the only mode of private transportation is bicycle! :) I *heart heart heart* the island! The people are super friendly and the place is very safe. :)

There isn't any police on the island, only persatuan. If found stealing, the person will be stripped naked holding a board "saya mencuri" and forced to run around the island where locals can feel free to whack the person. Only then , the police from the mainland lombok will come and take them to prison. Sinbad, regan and myself lepaked at one of the warong from 9.30pm till1.30am chatting with the locals. We ordered some food with super sedap sambal lombok and ended u asking if we could have customized order for the sambal. The pool lady gotta go make the sambal at 12++am! best part of it all, it comes with a recipe! :)

Back in Kuta, it's full of cars, jam, pollution and i missed Gili T already! A perfect getaway! Kuta is a shopper's paradise la. u could find almost anything there I was basically enjoying the massages in kuta for 1/4 the price in malaysia! green grass sa has the best massuer around town i believe :)

i have been MIA from my blog since cameron! looks like a damn kao freaking long time that i last blogged.

the last thing i remember doing was deleting some post that Walton International didn't want me to have, including good ones. like whatever. dont care bout the very "Smart" management anymore. how i wish walton was like how they used to be. i believe it's still very very VERY Draggy for people to go to work in walton nowadays. not like last time. think of going to office jer, energetic d! lol. Good old days.

Cameron Highlands!

I have got no mood to blog about anything else except my getaway with my wonderful friends.

After a long time that I've been wanting to go... FINALLY!

Few of us... myself, midori, daryl, siewhar, ashwin, jamie and audrey in 2 cute lil myvi... we drove all the way up. :) it's nice to have roadtrips with the kakis sometimes :)

First thing we did when we arrived in cameron was to have lunch! lol! and the food was pretty good despite the breakdown in communication. lol! bunch of bananas. THANK GOD WE HAVE SIEWHAR! :D

My 26th Birthday!

I turned 26 four days ago. And, I had a really good one this year. =) *all smileys*

I was in Melaka over last weekend... and on the Monday when I was about to leave.. my sister dragged me to the kitchen and suprised me with a birthday cake! :) My first birthday cake after 4 years of no cakes. lol. photos later :D

And back in KL.... I had my hair cut short to above shoulder length.. finally after 10 years of having long hair. took LOTSA courage ya know. :) but i'm lovin' it right now! And, I love my stylist too! Jimmy from Monsoon-id tropicana city... :)

On my birthday which is the 2nd of december, my sayang made me the princess of the day. :D

We had Sakae sushi for lunch as Cave was close for lunch starting from who knows when.. lol. that ruined my sayang's suprise lunch :p Sayang had to swallow Jap food even though he hates it :p

And sayang statement to me on the 2nd december was, "you can buy whatever you want" teeheehee. but i not so bad la :p He already got me a blackberry! eventhough i have been bugging him for it :p

A gathering with the Couch surfers!

I spend the whole of Saturday and part of Sunday being super duper close to nature last week. LITERALLY.

I slept on a mat on the grass, looking up the clear blue sky and half moon. Was hoping to be gazing at stars.. but none :/ *sienness*

Well, I kept awake the whole night.. chatting up with CS robin, sk, and adida. and rise up from the mat at 730am going for a walk in the jungle. got back to our hideout, we noticed cows ransacking our dustbins. they really eat every single thing wei! but the cows the from the back, look like horse siak! damn kao thin!

Then.. came the cats and roosters.. kao banyak animal the next morning. i wonder why man.

Night before.. we played so games.. with the penalty of finishing up the fishes and also drinking air sungai! wah lao wei, i had to eat like 5 fishes and 1 and half cup of air sungai! *disgusting!*

Is it Really Merdeka? Or, is it just a term? Here you have a bunch of extremist!

I was really upset with the most recent thing that had happened in the most developed state of Malaysia. Looks like only the state is developed. Most of the mindset as still trapped undeveloped, not even grown an inch! even peanuts are bigger.

This was not reported on The Star at all. Probably tomorrow or something but i can't believe that the newspaper could be so lembap. I thought they should be the most efficient among all?

Protesters threaten bloodshed over Hindu temple

SHAH ALAM, Aug 28 — A group of Malay-Muslim protesters claiming to be residents of Section 23 have threatened bloodshed unless the state government stopped the construction of a Hindu Temple.

Amid chants of "Allahuakbar," the group also left the severed head of a cow at the entrance of the State Secretariat here as a warning to Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

The "residents" said that the construction of a Hindu temple in a 90 per cent Malay- Muslim neighbourhood was insensitive because activities there would disrupt their lives.

They claimed that the "noise" from the temple would disturb their own praying, and that they would not be able to function properly as Muslims.

The group of 50 over protestors marched shortly after Friday prayers from the Shah Alam State mosque to the State Secretariat.

“I challenge YB Khalid, YB Rodziah and Xavier Jeyakumar to go on with the temple construction. I guarantee bloodshed and racial tension will happen if this goes on, and the state will be held responsible,” shouted Ibrahim Haji Sabri amid strong chants of “Allahu Akbar!”

Ibrahim identified himself as the Deputy Chairman of the Resident’s Committee against the building of the temple in S23 here, which is perceived by some as being a Muslim majority area.

He told the press that the state should move the temple to Section 22 as ‘originally planned’, and also labelled Khalid a “traitor to the Malay race and Islam”.

It is understood that the protest is an immediate reaction towards the Selangor MB’s visit to the Hindu temple site yesterday, an act seen by the "residents" as disrespectful to the Muslims of the community.

Mohd. Zurit Bin Ramli, who claims to be the secretary of the "Coalition of Malaysian NGOs" echoed Ibrahim’s stand on the matter, saying that it was irresponsible on the part of the state government to approve the construction as there was apparently a “90 per cent” majority Muslim population in Section 23.

“With a temple on our residential area, we cannot function properly as Muslims. The temple will disrupt our daily activities like prayers in the Surau. We cannot concentrate with the sounds coming from the temple,” stated Zurit.

When asked whether members of the protest were affiliated with any organisations or movements, Ibrahim claimed that the people present today were members of PAS, PKR as well as Umno who are “united in the name of Islam and the Malay spirit.”

The state government was also accused of lying to the people of Selangor.

The Chairman of the Residents Committee, Mahyuddin Manaf excitedly proclaimed that the committee would uncover “the lies” and find proof of the state’s misconduct.

“Khalid Ibrahim wears a mask of a Muslim, but in truth he is a liberal. PAS stands to lose out as a result. I voted for PAS as well as Khalid in the past elections,” Mahyuddin claimed.

The issue first cropped up when the Selangor government proposed that the Sri Mariamman temple be relocated from Section 19 to Section 23.

Kidding me????? This is as good as throwing a Pig's head in front of their face! and they calling the hindu's insensitive? CRAZY EXTREMIST!

How funny the 'noise' could actually disturb them.. when.. the fact is that.. whenver they pray... the whole world knows coz it's announce and prayed on a loud speaker!!! does any of the other races ever complained about it? have any other races ever said that it distubed our prayers? And, the best part of it all. NO police were at sight. None of them were there or probably not bothered to arrest any of them there. When some other people are just doing some peaceful demonstration, they get sprayed tear gas, bla bla and get arrested! Bringing a Cow's head to the state secretarial department that insulted the Hindus and also had created a racial tension in Malaysia, they are not arrested.

As i said in earlier posts, news in malaysia are getting funnier and funnier day by day.

PAS Youth threatens to rock MLTR’s act, too

PETALING JAYA: Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) is the latest international act to have its concert condemned by PAS Youth.

The movement issued a strong protest to the Cabinet’s decision in approving the concert by the Danish band at Genting Highlands on Sept 5.

Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan Tantawi, in a press statement yesterday, said his party would not hesitate in mobilising its members to prevent the concert from happening if the performance was not stopped.

He said said the Cabinet’s ap- proval was “an insult to all Muslims in the country.”

The movement had also protested previous gigs by Beyonce, Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani.

Meanwhile, Star Planet, the organiser of Michael Learns to Rock show here, denies allegation the concert violated the dignity of Muslims.

Its chief operating officer, Carmen Liew, said the show would go on as scheduled.

“The green light was given when we approached the authorities. We are not violating any guidelines. In fact, we have abided by Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes (Puspal) rules that also provides for guidelines on concerts to be held during the fasting month,” she said.

According to Puspal, concerts to be held during the fasting month must in a ‘closed’ venue.

“Genting Highlands is considered as a ‘closed’ venue. We have not done anything wrong,” said Liew.

Touted as a strong comeback for the band, the “Eternity Tour 2009” world tour concert will showcase old and new tunes

It's getting to my nerves.

First, i did not care much about political issues and arena in malaysia. Now, i'm all worked up.

These bast*rds will just let this pass tru them and let it fade. isn't that all that's happening in malaysia? first altantuya, now teoh beng hock?

To start, this poor guy is about to get married with his fiancee. How on earth would he had even thought about commiting suicide???

When he said he did not as this was not needed in the case, Gobind asked: “So, you couldn’t tell if his shoes were too loose for him as you didn’t measure his feet. In this particular case the shoe was found far away from the body. How far was it?

(Teohs right shoe was off his feet when his remains were found.)

“I didn’t measure,” Dr Khairul Azman, who is a consultant pathologist with Klang Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, said.

Gobind: It’s good to measure isn’t it? You cannot tell us how the shoe got there. You are in no position to tell us!

Dr Khairul Azman: It could have come off when he fell.

Gobind then said that logically, if the shoe was tight, this would not have happened.

When he asked if there was a possibility that Teoh was thrown out first and then the shoe, Dr Khairul Azman replied: “Yes, there is a possibility.”

Gobind: In that case, it is indicative of a homicide. Did you address that possibility?

Dr Khairul Azman: Yes, there is a possibility.

Gobind: Did you test the shoe for fingerprints? Dr Khairul Azman: No

Gobind: Is it significant?

Gobind: Why didn’t you do it?

Gobind: But you didn’t get them to do it because it would have indicated a homicide. Were you covering it up?

And, OH! did i mention that they surprisingly DO NOT HAVE A CCTV on the 14th floor and 5th floor of Plaza Masalam??? but there are CCTV on any of the other floors?

It's so fucking impossible! unless these are all coverups and the trails are being washed off? wtf.

Best part of it all, the fucking chemist or watever did not even record the finger prints that was found on the window that he so called 'committed suicide' because it was incomplete???? these are all possible leads to to a possible homicide! fuckers!

Gobind then asked: “So, you can come to court and say anything about fingerprints and we can’t verify?”

Insp Mazli replied there was nothing if there were no fingerprints.

When Insp Mazli said that fingerprints were left when there was sweat from a person’s sweat cells, Gobind asked him if DNA samples could be obtained from these.

“The dusting powder will destroy the DNA and if swabbing is done before dusting, the fingerprint lines would be destroyed,” said Insp Mazli.

How much planned are these things? OMG!

And now, there is a mystery letter that was sent by an MACC official that reached Gobind Deo's hands. Claiming the dos of a high official of MACC, Hishammudin Bin Hashim which I think it must not be looked upon lightly! It might not be signed off by anybody, but the contains are printed on a MACC letterhead! it is already a small sneak peak that this person who have written the letter are in the insides of MACC. How can a tom dick or harry are able to get the letter head? what? sneak himself into the buildings of macc at this moment in time and steal one letter head out and print the letter?

Do u even think that it is possible that the official who had written the letter would want his identity not disclosed as these could poise harm to him and his family??? Probably the reason on why it isnt signed off by a certain somebody!

I really do hope and pray that the death of Teoh Beng Hock would not be invain. The people that's involved in the murder in search of their greed of power and money would be taken to justice and be punished in the worst ever possible punishment.

Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2009!

AWESOME event! :)

Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) is held by Enterprise Asia. It is to honour and recognize business leaders who have shown outstanding performance in developing business within the region.

And, tonight, I personally, proudly, met Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr. Yeoh Tiong Lay from YTL Corporation n' shook hands with him! lol. damn proud man. lol. but no camera, so no picture :(

Incase to some people who actually do not know who Yeoh Tiong Lay is, please click on the link. And his son, Francis Yeoh, took over and became the Managing Director in 1988.

He was our Lifetime Achievement Awards winner for 2009.

All of the entrepreneurs were really warm and friendly. Unlike alot of those nasty, penny-less people that I've met along my line of job.

The aura that you get when you meet them is different! Their confidence shines through them and hits you on the face. I am happy to be apart of APEA 2009.

Meeting these successful entrepreneurs in one night is not enough for me to even know them all. They come from various age. From 20+ to 80+ years old. One similarity, all of them are successful confident entrepreneurs.

Very aspiring.

An online community of like-minded travellers is hosting visitors for a night or two. SANTHA OORJITHAM finds out how couchsurfing has taken off in Malaysia — and around the world.
“SOFA away! Doesn’t anyone stay in one place anymore?” With apologies to Carole King, twenty-somethings today are putting a new spin on the singer-composer’s Seventies hit. A Tunisian computer science teacher is sleeping on the couch of his host in Shah Alam. A British lawyer has arranged to sleep on a couch in Tokyo. A Malaysian photo researcher was hosted by two writers in Mexico City.

After reading all the positive references, Adida Abdullah (right) agreed to provide a couch to German student Rahel Clormann.

They are among over 1.3 million members of Couchsurfing Group, which claims to be the world’s largest hospitality exchange network. The free, Internet-based project was just a gleam in the eye of American traveller Casey Fenton back in the year 2000.

After finding a cheap flight from Boston to Iceland, he randomly emailed 1,500 students from the University of Iceland asking for a place to stay.

More than 50 offered to host him. On the flight home, he began to conceptualise couchsurfing, which was formally launched on New Year’s Day 2004. Its mission: “Participate in creating a better world, one couch at a time.”

“Couchsurfing connects people currently traveling in new areas with regular travelers who are at home and have space to sleep others — be it on a spare mattress, bed, couch or floor space,” explained Jesse Gunsch, a university student in Arizona, United States, who surfed at the home of two Argentinian computer programmers in London last year.

In Malaysia, over 4,000 are registered with Couchsurfing Malaysia Group. Their average age: 29. Not everyone has a spare couch. Those who can’t host visitors offer to meet for a teh tarik or to show them around town. Membership is free but those who want their account verified have to make a donation of at least US$20 (RM70) with their credit cards. A prospective member provides his full name and postal address.

Couchsurfing Group then sends him a postcard with his ID. Members vouch for both hosts and surfers through references on the site (www.couchsurfing.org).

Before Adida Abdullah agreed to host German student Rahel, she read through all the references (which were positive) and contacted some of them for confirmation. Surfers gather regularly in the 231 countries linked by the group.

In Kuala Lumpur, for example, members meet almost every week, said student Sasha Leong over dinner at a mamak restaurant in Bukit Bintang which attracted members from New Zealand, Britain, Tunisia, Portugal, Latvia, India and Finland.

Members stress that one of the main goals is for the host and surfer to spend time with each other and learn more about each other’s culture. “Some hosts want you to spend a minimum of two nights, because they say one night is not enough to get to know you,” said the Tunisian teacher, Adel Kassah.

Earlier this year, he landed in Istanbul where he spent five nights with his Turkish host before heading to couches in Ankara, Kayseri and Batman. His host enjoyed his company so much that he invited Adel for another four nights on his return.

Photo researcher Lim Paik Yin couldn’t speak a word of Spanish when she landed in Mexico City. If she hadn’t been hosted by fellow surfers, she admitted, “I would have eaten bread and cheese the whole time.” The only plans she had made were to see the Frida Kahlo museum: “For the rest, I fell in with my hosts’ plans. I walked around with them, ate what they ate, talked to them and got to know them.”

Couchsurfers also claim their hosts show them sights off the beaten track. When Leong couchsurfed in Vienna in February this year, her host took her to a “Balkan Party” of Albanians celebrating the first anniversary of Kosovo’s declaration of independence from Serbia. The Group provides pointers on being a good host and a good guest — as well as safety tips on how to vet potential hosts and surfers, how to meet (at a café, for example, where you can talk first to see if you are comfortable with it) and extra precautions such as emailing the person’s name, address and photograph to a friend.

Voluntary ambassador Mohd Munawar Nurul Amin (one of 12 for Malaysia) adds that moderators remove offensive remarks from the site and will terminate a member’s account “if it is used for politics, aggressive personal attacks, racism or wrongdoing such as stealing, making a business out of couchsurfing or sexual offences”.

In the past two years, he has removed seven members from the group, of whom three were Malaysians, for such offences. (They were all hosts.) But, he stressed, 99 per cent of the experiences were positive. “Like most meet-ups arranged online, it’s as safe as you make it,” added Gunsch.

Women traveling alone should be careful and find other women to stay with, the student advised. “Otherwise it’s really mostly a matter of communicating with your hosts and getting to know them a bit beforehand.”

Leong has met surfers who became members or attended get-togethers for the wrong reasons — to pick up dates or make conquests. But she has had only good experiences surfing with female hosts in Vienna and Frankfurt, and hosting members from Germany and Australia at her parents’ home. And as a cheap way to travel, it’s hard to beat. Her bill for three weeks in Europe was 500 Euros (RM2,500).

Our Getaway :)

We celebrated our 1-year-anniversary in Krabi. :) *thanx yang!* *grins*

We were on a 5 days, 4 nights trip to Krabi. Yang knew i wanted to go and he took me there! :D

We arrived on the 9th August 2009 at Krabi Intl Airport. We took a taxi to Krabi town for THB500(i tink). Bus was only THB150. But, we've got no idea which part of krabi would they campak us. so we ended up taking taxi. hehe. We stayed our first night in Krabi town, in City Hotel. It was a well maintained hotel, just a lil' old. but location wise, it's really good in krabi town. but don't bother going to krabi town coz there's nothing much to do there except the pasar malam on weekends, fri-sunday. Other than that, dont bother.

And we lost our 100+ first set of photos when the dingdong camera decided to kong out on me. Suddenly I off and on the camera, states there No pic. i was like WTF!!!! on off on off also NO PIC! OMG. shit.

our 2nd day, we took a taxi to Ao Nang and paid like THB400 for the short ride =/ We arrived in AoNang Villa and am very much impressed with the beautiful sea frontage hotel :) Our first day in Ao Nang was literally jalan-jalan with some shopping and lepaking at the beach and enjoying our sunset. :) oh, and pool too. :) Our hotel had 2 pools! Dolphin & Coral!

on our 3rd day, all we did was chill n relax. we headed out for breakfast in the morning and den walk along Ao Nang and did some shopping. Next, we went back to hotel and changed into our beach attire. Lepaked at Ao Nang beach. Played and jumped to the waves of the sea. Jason was having sooo much fun jumping in the waves while i slept like A LOG while sun-tanning. sedap. :) then we headed back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and some swimming training for the next day's island hopping :)

That's when we met Kevin and Mimi. We went for dinner together and went to Irish Rover(highly recommended) for a cup of ice cool beer. :) I had my glass of Kilkenny and Jason had his pint of Kilkenny. Then we had our free BBQ and we had 2 games of pool :)

Our 4th day was my long waiting island hopping day! I can't wait to re-visit the beautiful island with crystal clear water and the long stretch of white sandy beaches! Was there about 3 years ago when i visited Phuket. :) It's beautiful. So beautiful, i can't explain in words. U must go and see by yourself. :)

And, I finally got rid of my fear of water and got into the sea for snorkelling ALL BY MYSELF! :D yay-ness! i first snorkelled in an open sea during our 1st snorkel. was afraid in the beginning and manage to get hold of myself and not panic :) 2nd was in Loh Samah bay snorkel and 3rd was in bamboo island beach snorkel in which i managed to convince jason to enter the water where he can't touch the sand with his legs! :D and he snorkeled and snorkelled and snorkelled and forgot bout me. :/

Then when we return to Ao Nang at bout 5pm, to our Hotel, just to find out that our bathroom sink pipe burst. :/ took bout an hour before we could do anything. at about 630pm we went to rent a bike to tour the island. :) we got a Honda Airblade. And, that night, we had our anniversary dinner in La Luna having some cheese+ham pizza in my new greeny forever 21 dress :)

Next day was our final day in Krabi. :( we got up real early just to have more time to tour the island on the bike and ended up in gastropod. don't ask me what's that. lol. some claystone bed thingy.

And I notice this couple in front of us queueing in front of us in the airport seem familiar. then i went like.. "errr.. KAREN?" she turned and look! omg! IT'S KAREN! lol. what a small world :)

KL Urbanscapes 2009

I finally went to Urbanscapes this year. I missed the one last year coz nobody I knew wanted to go!!! except Allen that went quietly without telling me :/

This year i had work in the earlier part of the day, arriving in KLPAC at 6pm only. Just to be all stressed out about their parking. all the cars are parked literally LINTANG-PUKANG!!! the parking was horrible, insufficient place and so cramped up!

But none the less, it was a colorful event. :)

My Dad is a Fob.

I was reading PinkPau's page earlier. And her latest post was about her dad. It was cute. too cute. :)

I wish i have posts of such too. But, I guess my dad's not even a 10% of that. Dad n I never have proper conversation. Both, me and my sister avoids talking to dad. If he's in the kitchen, we're in the living room and if he's in the living room, we're in the kitchen. Not that we don't wanna talk to him. It's just that each and every time we talk to him, he has always got something to scold us about. and i mean, SCOLD SCOLD. with words like stupid, useless, moron or of such. Well, i'm not sure how many dads actually does it. But, mine do. very often. which is why we don't speak much. to us, he's very unapproachable and totally a stranger to us. I'd of course love to have a dad that jokes with his daughter, that tells the daughter that he loves them. not calling them useless or smth to that effect.

I'm jealous over some other people's dads. I might not have the worst dad around but stil.... and best part of it all, he doesn't know a shit about us. and was never supportive of us.

My convocation, well i guess, that happens once in my LIFETIME. He conveniently told my aunt to inform me that "he can't make it". yeah.. Whose dad could actually forget their daughter's convocation? My aunt(dad's sis), uncle, aunt, grandma from KL also came down to see my convocation. I guess he's just not too bothered. heck.

Anyways, i came across this website that kept me awake till 5am reading it. I enjoy reading it and at the same time am very envious about their dads :)

Well, i'd wish that I could be a parents of such and of coz a husband which will be of such too.

Jake's Charbroil Steak.

The other day.. i finally went to Jake's Charbroil Steak. According to Vince, that's like the best steak in town. like the sweetest and the juiciest!

but i think he forgot to mention that it's the most expensive too! :p

The best steak in the house was an australian steak that cost about Rm2++ per meal.

but i can't deny the fact that they tasted really delicious. Wanted to try their lamb shank which was apparently one of their best selling meal. But, it wasn't a Wednesday or something coz that meal is only offered on certain days.

They even have their own valet parking! oh, i went to the branch in bangsar, near jalan puspawari or something like that, same row with victoria station, next to OCBC bank. somewhere near Jet's old house :)

Anyways, we had the steak and the rack of lamb. :)

And, pleaseeee do reservation before even bothered to go. Coz, it's like damn kao full house.

And Here I go again...

It is 1pm on a Monday afternoon and I'm stuck at home. Good or bad? For some, it's great bcoz i don't have to go to office! But to some, it isn't that great afterall. That's just pure unproductive and crapped up life. Me? I feel the latter.

I want changes but at the same time I am discouraged in so many ways to do so. My past 2 years have been rather rough and pretty much unstable. I did not see this coming back in June 2007. But, I've got no regrets. Things I've learned, thing's i've gone through, people that i've known, love that was being shared and the experience that I've gotten are priceless.

Just that today, I'm counting on the ticking of the clock on my directions in the next one year. What would I be doing? Where would I be? Everyday I wake up and wonder what's next.

People come and people go. Leaving us senior folks. Well, to some up there, as they say, if u can't take it, LEAVE. How ignorant. And I started to understand why are they at the top. SELFISHNESS. friendship was never a word for them. And I guess, never will be. Explains the loneliness.

I've secured another platform today, a platform similar to the one I've stepped on in June 2007. Let's all hope I'd be able to sustain and shine.

In my years of living, I've made lotsa friends with some which I consider lifelong. And, I love you guys :) like how she does it, <3 <3 <3

I am glad to see that everyone's doing well. My friends and my family. Of course not for Andrina. My sis's gonna step into a new phase of life soon. Her tertiary. :)

The only thing I'd wish to see again in this life, is a dad that I used to have when i was a child.

Let's all see where I will be end of this year. Let's all see how long will be at where I am at the end of this year. Life's a gamble. So, take some risk.

Damai Laut , Off Pangkor

So .. finally! I'm going for a smaller incentive trip by the company! :)

Training was absolutely boring and not really effective (to me, not sure bout the rest)... wasted my whole 2nd day when i cud just lie down on d beach n just enjoy the breeze and the view. :)

We were upgraded to the hotels instead of just the dodgy apartments. Best part of it all, we were upgraded to SEAVIEW ROOMS! =D double yay-ness!

And, when u are upgraded to hotel, u get free access of kayaking, archery, beach volleyball and the swimming pool. In which the apartment is too darn far away to walk to any of these!

Phew!

But the journey to the resort was terrifyin!!! X| about 15-20 minutes drive around the hotel.. u will NOT see any civilization! All u see are man grooves and farms :/

The hotel is LITERALLY surrounded by jungle and a wonderful private beach :)

Beach weren't that great but bcoz it was a private beach.. u have all the peace u want.. REALLY AWAY FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF CITY!

Weekend in Melaka

I was contemplating to go back on last Thursday. Weighing over the totally boring weekend in KL or a bad jam on Sunday from Mlk back to KL. Was suppose to watch Wolverine with the rest on Friday evening. The rest as in Jason Sinbad, Allen, Wei Lee and Chaiyen.

Ipoh Road Trip

I can't remember when was the last time I actually did a road trip! This time around, we took the opportunity to have a road trip down to Ipoh as it was Theresa's wedding! Theresa's an ex-waltonian that have moved back to Ipoh.

Myself, Regan, Leong and Charis went in 1 car while Calvin and Yew Choong went by bus. We all met in Ipoh for the wedding dinner. The next morning.. Calvin woke us all up at 8am for the makan-makan trip!

We started our invasion at 9am!

Our first was the local kopitiam. Imagine fighting with aunties to get tempat duduk! OMG!

but the white coffee and the roti bakar was so sedap! *thumbs up*

We just couldn't stop eating coz there's nothing better to do except eat, eat and eat. :/

I read through Joyce's blog the other day. And she mentioned about quarter-life-crisis. Which , I think.. it's kinda hitting me lately.

And here it comes again.. it's not just the job, not just the insecurity. It is also something else that I won't mention here. Something that makes me feel insecure and unsure about. Where is it heading? Am not very sure. The confusion, the unsimilarity, the disagreement, the passion and the wants. I am ... lost.

Then.. come the part where I wanna just do whatever I feel like doing. Like dump everything here in Malaysia and get away. GET OFF. like take life just as it is. A point which i feel like i am in bits and pieces. The neither here nor there thing again.

At some point, all I know is that I'm working towards the work holiday visa. I am afraid to fall back down to where I was 4 years ago but I thought to myself to fucking dump these shit and just go out and see the world for awhile. It could be a few months or it could be a few years. I don't know.

We gathered over dinner at Lotus Ampang on last wednesday... it is a gathering called by Jian coz of an interview session with the Let's Travel magazine.

Btw, LOTUS AMPANG SUCKS TO THE MAX! their service is horrendous!!!! damn unfriendly and superbly rude. Adding to the fact that their pricing is crazily high... freaking expensive for a mamak food. Fucking bad service with damn expensive NORMAL mamak food.. give me a damn good reason why should we even bothered to even go there again? Imagine... nasi goreng pataya for RM8 and RM2.50 for nescafe. haha. crazy shite.

B4 that we stopped by Palette and Palete at 11.30pm juz to find that they're closing at 12. I FINALLY KNOW WHERE"S PALETTE AND PALETE!!! nice cozy place :) me like!

The pillow fight battle is on!

The Corntoz Pillow Fight at Cineleisure Damansara in Mutiara Damansara attracted more than 200 people armed with pillows.

A LAZY Saturday afternoon turned into a wild rampage of fluff as shoppers and workers gawked at more than 200 people hitting at each others with pillows.

Yes, RandomActs (RA) has done it again, this time organising the Corntoz Pillow Fight at Cineleisure Damansara in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor.

The event, held in conjunction with International Pillow Fight Day involving over 75 countries, was attended by the young and the young at heart all in the name of fun. It wasn’t just the locals who took part as there were many tourists who joined in the fun.

Among them were Brazilian couple Marlene and Adriano. (CS members!!)

“It’s our first time at an event like this. We really want to ... get down and dirty while having a good time,” said the 28-year-old Marlene, who brought along her aged pillow from home.

The second round of the Corntoz Pillow Fight, held at Cineleisure Damansara in Selangor recently, was a free for all – team members were attacking their own people in the name of fun.

The secret gathering point, revealed just two days before the fight, was at a different shopping centre nearby. Participants, carrying pillows of different shapes and sizes, flocked to the shopping centre at 4pm on April 4, attracting much attention from shoppers and security personnel alike.

The crowd then quickly made their way across the mall to the lower ground floor of Cineleisure Damansara, where RA’s Zain HD greeted his legion of soldiers in a fake helmet and spear.

Both teams were then placed opposite each other in two sections while chanting aloud to raise spirits. Pillows were held up high with the firmest grasps as they waited for the siren to go off.

In a sudden rush, the battle began and both teams ran towards one another, while beating each other up with their pillows. As violent as it looked, waves of laughter were heard through their yelps while polyester fluff flew wildly in the air.

Teams later merged and participants started randomly hitting friends and strangers without a care in the world. Passers-by looked on in confusion but a large number of spectators gathered around and floors above, enjoying the fight.

Shortly after the first round began, participants were already sweating buckets and panting away while laughing along with newly found mates in the battleground.

Zain HD was the brains behind the Corntoz Pillow Fight .

Zain then gave them a short pep talk as they rested before Round Two. This time, the participants mustered even more strength and the quietest of the bunch went all out to become the rowdiest of the lot.

While the dominant group were teenagers and young adults, there were others like Peggy Lee, 50, and Ivy Soh, 40, who showed up to join in the fun.

“I had a lot of fun. I bullied them more than they did me!” said Ivy, who still had her pillow intact. “It was quite an experience.”

College student Rahul SK, 22, also had a ball. “It really reminded me of when I used to play pillow fights as a little boy. I enjoyed myself and made new friends.”

Zain, the 25-year-old activist who organised the pillow fight, said that he wanted to demonstrate how people can be brought together simply to have fun.

Through RA, Zain has organised other events aimed at promoting unity – bringing together people from all races, cultures and backgrounds – including the KL Freeze in Unison, KLX and the Read While Waiting Project (RWP).

“I am one of those who talk about wanting to see change. At some point, you have to step up and be a part of it,” he said.

Pillow Fight @ 4/4/09 @ The Curve @ 4pm!

First ever pillow fight event held in Malaysia! And, WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! Thanx to Random Alphabets!

It is an event, brought international. Every country that participates, would be pillow fighting on the 4th of April! :D Most of the countries are pillow fighting on the streets with their feather pillows while malaysia.. our pillows only cotton :( so not thatttttttttt nice la. hahaa....

Our pillow fight gathering was in Curve and the battle zone was on the lower ground of cineleisure. :)

Anyways.. it was all good. we had sooo much fun.. we had laughters alll the way.. and the best of it all, we made friends. :) As i mentioned before, I came alone and went back as a group. :)

I met a few Couch surfers during the event. Neena was my only contact point. Even that, I've not met Neena before. but it was all good. the bubbly girl introduced me to other CS-er which later on introduced me to another group of frenz which they also knew during pillow fight only.

End result of my pillow was half the pillow left. hahaha... that was really memorable and also it shows the quality of the Tesco pillow. haha.. my fren's pillow are all still in good condition. damn i shud have taken 'akemi'!

Danny's Belated Birthday @ Rakuzen

On the 29th March 2009, myself, Goh Wei Lee, Amelia and Jet went over to Rakuzen to celebrate danny's belated birthday. And we ate Japanese food like we've never eaten Japanese food before. SCAAAARRRYYY WEI!

But, nevertheless, the food was good. The service was excellent, with of coz a plus point of a cute 'william-zai' waiter. lol.

And for all that, we paid RM55++ per person that comes up to approximately to RM63.xx .. around that figure. Which, I believe a reasonable price to pay, comparing Rakuzen to either Shogun or Momo or other Japanese buffet. Kindly do not include Jogoya as it is way off different standard! that's like RM100++!!!!

Anyways... we literally sat from 12-3pm (opening of buffet time till ending) and juz whack whack and whack! and best part of all... after buffet.. we went jalan-ing in pavillion andddd... 3 hours later.. we whack again at The Loaf. :| gila.

But it was all good, it was all fun and it was a full load fun and laughter filled day. :)

G-20 leaders blacklist Malaysia as one of 4 tax havens

LONDON: Four nations were blacklisted as uncooperative tax havens after G-20 leaders declared the age of banking secrecy was over and said they would no longer tolerate shady havens draining away badly needed tax revenue.

At the request of the Group of 20 summit of rich and developing nations, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development named the Philippines, Uruguay, Costa Rica and the Malaysian territory of Labuan as the worst offenders, saying they had refused to adopt new rules on financial openness.

Leaders also said Thursday that nations that refuse to exchange tax information could in the future face tough sanctions - including the withdrawal of financing by the World Bank or International Monetary Fund.

"The time of banking secrecy has passed," French President Nicholas Sarkozy said following the summit. "Everyone around the table wants an end to tax havens. Everyone knows we need sanctions."

The announcement reflects mounting concern that banking secrecy in tax havens has helped to worsen the economic crisis by disguising the true value of some global assets.

Anti-poverty activists say such places provide corrupt officials places to stash illicit funds, often depriving poor nations of needed resources. *haha*

The OECD has divided countries into three categories: those who comply with rules on sharing tax information, those who say they will but have yet to act and nations which have not yet agreed to change banking secrecy practices.

Switzerland and Liechtenstein, which both have strong banking secrecy traditions, said last month they would adopt international rules on tax cooperation and were ready to comply with G-20 demands.

Liechtenstein, Switzerland's tiny Alpine neighbor, said it has already met with British officials to prepare for the new standards. Monaco said earlier that it would be more transparent with foreign tax authorities.

In return they were spared the fate of being blacklisted but were left in a gray area of countries that still have to implement their commitment to accept new information-exchange standards. China supported the blacklisting, but would not agree to have two territories, Hong Kong and Macau, classified as uncooperative tax havens.

Potential sanctions for transgressors include extra audits of those who use tax havens and curbs on tax deductions claimed by businesses using the territories.

In their communique, leaders said they may consider further penalties in their bilateral relations with tax haven territories. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Brown and President Barack Obama played a key role in pushing for a crackdown on tax havens.

At least 35 offshore tax havens, from Britain's Channel Islands to the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean, are under increasing pressure to provide more information to international authorities to prevent people from evading taxes or hiding income by shifting money to such places.

Stephen Timms, financial secretary to the British Treasury, said a culture of banking secrecy had worsened global economic problems.

"That lack of transparency - that opaqueness - has contributed to the severity of the problems we are seeing in the world economy at the moment," he said. - AP

Baby dies, drunk parents forgot to feed him

MIRI: A baby boy, less than a month old, starved to death after his parents allegedly forgot to feed him because they were too drunk.

The baby died in the intensive-care unit of Miri Hospital yesterday morning and a police report has been lodged.

Police now want to question the parents, in their early 30s from a longhouse in southern Sarawak, who came to Miri to work and were renting a house at a low-cost housing scheme near the Sarawak-Brunei Highway, some 12km north of the city centre.

Relatives found the baby unconscious in the house and rushed him to the hospital at about 3am on Wednesday.

Miri deputy OCPD Supt Ismail Paduka Idris confirmed that the baby died in the morning.

“We are investigating claims that the parents had indulged in a prolonged drinking spree and had neglected the baby.

“Initial investigations show that the baby might have been so severely neglected that he suffered fatal consequences.

“We want to find out whether this was due to carelessness,” Supt Ismail said.

The couple also have a three-year-old daughter.

I ended up going for Su Kin's wedding dinner, but was there during Misfit's pre-wedding day kay-poh-ing and 'helping' around a day before his wedding.

Kay-poh-ed again on his wedding lunch. But attended Su Kin's wedding that night. That was becoz Su Kin invited me wayyyyyyyyy before misfit invited me! *booo misfittttt*

My saturday's eventful day....

got up, went to Misfit's house, came back at 2pm...

quickly glanced through my contract and was at my client's place at 3.30pm... and came back home at 4.30pm.

At 5pm, ran out of the house to Jusco to get my dad's birthday present and reached home at about 6.15pm.

Took my bath, changed, make-up and gotten ready for Su Kin's wedding dinner where Kin Choong picked me up at 7pm.

Wedding dinner from 7-10.30pm... reached home, took my car and met Benny, Midori, Ong CS and Shirley(or smth like that) at Acalante(something like dat) at Jonkers.

Wah,.. can die wei schedule like that everyday. but at least i didnt die of home boredom though :p

It was a cozy Saturday morning. Since Ryan is suppose to fly to China for a contract work and Jolyn hasn't move into my house yet, I was taking my time enjoying this peaceful morning on my bed... Suddenly, ring... ring... Who the fuck is that...? Ryan Lee calling?
Picking up my phone...

Ryan : SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!
HH : Huh? What What happened?
Ryan : SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!
HH : What HAPPENED LAH!
Ryan : SHIT! My friend PPK me! He's suppose to send me to LCCT but until now I still cannot get him! SHIT!
HH : Where're you now? Alamak!
Ryan : I'm on my way to KL Sentral station, can you come and fetch me to LCCT? SHIT! SHIT!

Putting down my phone, I immediately jumped from my bed, brushed my teeth, changed my shirt, combed my hair, (all done in 5 seconds) and shot out to KL Sentral in my Supercar with Superman speed & Fast & Furious style...

It works! His client agreed to pay for him the second flight ticket. So, Ryan bought the ticket of 1:30 flight. He was so relief that he don't have to bear the flight ticket, and was smiling tak habis-habis there.

Sitting down there, we were relaxingly taking our lunch and chatting there. When it is about time I parted with Ryan to go back my car. When I was out from LCCT, phone rang again... Rayn Lee calling...

HH : (Alamak! Forgotten, my road tax just expired and I'm suppose to renew it on Monday!)

Police : Ini offence besar ni, kena issue summon. Kasi IC dan driving lesen.

Policeman took my IC and straight away issued a summon already! This is the first policeman in my entire life that didn't ask for rasuah! End up I have to pay for my summon, then have to come back to Sepang to attend the police court for not renewing my road tax...

Continuation Upon Reaching China

Long long Time Ago, In An Airport Lagi Juah-Juah Away...

The plane was flying on the sky of China... One happy man was enjoying this comfortable flight. Although a lot had happened on the previous day, Ryan felt like the worst had happened in his life... from now on, nothing else bad will come close to that...

Reaching the Airport of Zhuhai, China, Ryan was walking alone with his luggage going out from the airport. His welcoming crowd was no longer there... and he had to make it to the hotel by himself.

Suddenly, one chinese middle-age man approached him. (from now on we call him chinapek)

Chinapek (in mandarine): Where are you going, sir?
Ryan (in his broken mandarine): I'm going to the Zhuhai Hotel.

Ryan showed him the photo of the Hotel on his handphone which he took his own sweet time to googled and downloaded at the LCCT McD.

Chinapek : No problem, just follow me.

Chinapek grabbed Ryan's luggage from his hand and started to walk away already. Ryan had no choice but to follow him.

Ryan : Where's your car?
Chinapek : Not far, not far, just around here.

But after some distants of walking, Ryan still hasn't see any taxi around. And they were walking to a kampung area already, with a lot of chinapek sitting beside the road, looking at him... weirdly...

Something is not right!...Ryan thought to himself...What does he want from me?...Is he going to rob my luggage, rape me, murder me, then sell my organs...?! I must run away now! But my luggage is still with the chinapek! My precious MacBook is inside it!!! How!!!

Then they reached a small lorong...

Chinapek : My friend is a taxi driver, he's staying in here, we go in and get him.
Ryan (pretending to be relax...) : No problem, I'll take a cigarette here and wait, you go and get him first.

So, chinapek left his luggage there (Ryan : yes!!!), and walked inside the lorong by himself. Ryan quietly looking at the chinapek walking until he turned into a corner...

Threw away his cigarette! Grabbed his luggage! Keeping his head down, Ryan immediately ran as fast as he could! While all the other chinapek still sitting there watching quietly as this man running away like a rabbit...

Running past a corner... walau Holy-God!!! There was a real taxi coming towards him. Quickly stopped and jumped into that taxi, and showed the driver again the hotel photo... I want to go Zhuhai Hotel!

Ok! Reply the driver. Then he started to drive already... wait, no!!! He's driving to the road Ryan just escaped from...!!! He could see he was going towards the lorong and the chinapek was coming out from there.........

The chinapek came out and found out his rabbit was no longer there... There was a taxi driving past him with no one inside the car...

Back to inside the taxi...

Ryan was hiding under the level of the window as the taxi drove past the chinapek...

Unforgettable Drama at 3.40am on 9th March '09

I am tryin to cut the whole drama short.

We had 2 buckets of beer in Bali Cafe @ Jetty. Our beloved friend, Kit, ops... did i mention his name? =X oh Benny's ex bestest as claimed... had slightly a lil' more drinks than all of us. At approximately 3am, midori did a statement, " boring la. let's do smth. my house got beer, we go take beer and go beach drink"

We did not achieve to any agreement. Thus, benny took his car with us in it and went rounding in melaka raya aimlessly. btw, Benny was the driver, Kit was the co-driver seat while midori and myself at the back.

Half way around town, we decided to go as midori's suggestion. On the way to Klebang... Kit openned his mouth, " eh i dont feel like going la. can send be back ah?"

I just got back from Jason Mraz's concert earlier in Stadium Negara... and he'sss oooohhhh soooo hoooottt...

Jason Mraz was crazily engaging his crowd... he was so damn blardy good at it! He made us sing, he made us copy him, he made us feel engaged to him!!!

Walked up the stage with a khakis pants and a blue plain shirt with his guitar.. and just making his magic with his guitars and his wonderful voice.. did wonders to the crowd. THE TICKETS WERE SOLD OUT! The relaxed guy does not only come with a good voice, but a good package of good guitar skills, freaking good showmanship and those sexy dance move he did on the stage. :") makes me droooolllll.....

Jason's Burfdae!

Last Monday was Jason's birthday.. 29 year old d. old man d :P hheee..

I wanted to blindfold him from damansara to the hotel.... but he didnt want to be blind folded. i also sked wait he trip n fall den i hafta carry him :|

We celebrated his burfdae in a fine dining restaurant in Bintang Restaurant, a revolving restaurant in Federal Hotel. Surprisingly there isn't any jam at all going to bukit bintang at 7pm from Damansara. =D

Anyways... the view from Revolving restaurant was just ok la.. nto that great. i wanted the kl tower but it was like freakishly expensive.. which i think i'll have like a permanent hole in my pocket sial. And, according to damn huge huge huge amount of comments i found over the internet and also from my friends, the food in the KL Tower revolving restaurant is not great at all for the price u pay. We had tenderloin steak in federal revolving restuarnt instead. :)

We sampai there.. only got 1 table with humans sial. i dont think they even need reservation for a dinner there.. coz its practically SO SO SO damn empty. The ambience was nice.. dinner over candle light =)

Amazing work on the Toll Rates.

First, they gave a 10% off on PLUS highways for road usage after 12am. Then, they took off the NPE 2nd toll and the Salak Jaya toll. Everyone was delighted! You get response like these :

“Even for a short journey we have to pay toll. I am happy that this toll is abolished,”

“I send my son to school in Salak Selatan every day, so I can now save a bit on toll,”

Then.... like a teaser or a short way of trying to make the civilians to feel good about toll rates, they came up with another shocking news.

AH HAH!!! the real story behind all the abolishing of tolls and reduction of so called 10% after 12.

They took off 1 toll on NPE and they increased the other from RM1.60 to RM2.00. HOW "JUSTIFIABLE". Smart move uh?

And the bloody short kerinchi toll which was RM1.50 for that bloody short journey because there isn't any routes that PROPERLY links federal to Damansara which obviously had no proper town planning, which caused the horrific jam had to be increased to RM2.00!!! what kinda sh*t is this!

In order to get on Federal from Damansara, non-toll, your only alternatives are LDP-Federal or Sprint-Bangsar-Federal or Spring-Jalan Universiti-Federal. Bangsar AND Universiti AND ldp are all 2 lanes road which has HUGE AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC. And lotsa people are resorted to Kerinchi.. that costs RM1.50 for a probably 3 minutes drive journey. And now, RM2? Crazy.

It's so heavily burdening the citizens! Looking at the current situation, people are ALREADY BURDENED! and now, adding these to their back. No wonder robbery happens so rampant nowadays. BECAUSE PEOPLE JUST DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TO SURVIVE!!! I am starting to believe what almost everyone is saying, working in Malaysia is like a survival, unlike singapore in which working in Sg is for lifestyle. NO, MALAYSIA is PURELY FOR SURVIVAL. Bcoz with a pay of RM2,500 today won't get you anywhere as well. With toll rates hike, which eventually cause almost everythign to hike. Same effect as the oil prices.

Toll hike = food price hike = goods price hike = everything hike = WE SUFFER.

Then, our beloved PM told to reconsider the toll hike. Makes me wonder how long would it last as it was said to be implemented on March 1st. Which is this Sunday.

I really wonder, with the amount of vehicles passing through the tolls on a daily basis, haven't they had enough to cover the cost? and making huge fat profits from it?

Are we gonna be like Indonesia or Indian where the rich and the poor are OBVIOUSLY separated?

I don't know.

I had a very interesting Valentine this year. =)

First, Jason bawak me for lunch in Ribs Oasis in Bandar Utama. =)

I had my lamb stew and he had his chicken something something, dot......

Then malam....

Jason bawak me go see fireflies in Kuala Selangor! I have bugged him to go last year.. finally! :p haha.. i wanted to see the so called one of the biggest colony of fireflies in the world!

It was pretty nice. like the kelip kelip deco u put on christmas trees. that's wat jason said. "like christmas tree la!"

We sat on a sampan and went along the river for about 20-30 minutes. We drove allllll the way to kuala selangor.. about 1 and half hours drive through so damn alot of kampungs before we reached the place.

We literally googled the place out on maps.google.com and I took down the names of the kampung to ensure that we were on track when we past by the kampungs. We turned into this particular land in which it was 2 lanes, opposite directions. with literally NO STREET LAMPS AND NO CAR. and all u have is kelapa sawit both on your left and right. It was so dark and scary and literally can't see nuts beyond your headlights. i can even see bugs flying! THAT DARK!

GILA SIAL THE SHORT CUT! we didn't know it was a short cut, we just followed the signboards. Next thing, when balik.. we took a longggg route to balik. kakaa.. and we had steamboat in kepong :)

We tried taking photos of the fireflies.. it was soooooooooooooooooo dark, we can't see anything on the cam. :| ish.

So here comes a fresh 2009. A good headstart for everyone of us. :)

As the usual.. the first day of CNY with my family is nothing much of a big hoo-haa. Visited 2 houses and will be home the whole day.

I literally went out every single night since day 1. :| and getting up at 8.30am almost every single morning. Explains the zombified me. :|

The 2nd day of CNY has always been my favourite. Celebrating CNY the canto-way. hehe. with my uncles and aunties and grandma from my mum's side, obviously without my dad and superbly obvious without my mum. But, it has always been the occasion of CNY that i liked the most. It was like a gathering of family...Visiting uncles and aunties from all around melaka. Like a convoy on the road. It has always been a joyous CNY with my cousins, the crazy ass people. We actually took approximately 110 photos during that day itslef. Yes, same face in every single picture. :p

We could reach a point in which we just stood still and think, " What pose to do next ah?"

German billionaire Adolf Merckle, assailed by financial turmoil and struggling to salvage his business empire, has killed himself, his family said on Tuesday.

"The desperate situation of his companies caused by the financial crisis, the uncertainties of the last few weeks and his powerlessness to act, have broken the passionate family entrepreneur and he took his own life," a family statement said.

Prosecutors in the southern German town of Ulm, near Merckle's home, said the 74-year-old died when a train struck him late on Monday. There was no sign anyone else was involved, they said.

Merckle was ranked as the world's 94th richest person in 2008 according to Forbes magazine and his family controls a number of German companies including cement maker HeidelbergCement and generic drug company Ratiopharm, but its empire was rocked last year by wrong-way bets made on shares in carmaker Volkswagen.

Banking sources had told Reuters the family lost hundreds of millions of euros on investments, with losses of about €400-million ($539,4-million) on Volkswagen shares alone.

It has been in talks for weeks with banks to renegotiate loans.

Shares in HeidelbergCement were off 5% at €31,70 at 3.47pm GMT, having dropped to €29,16 earlier in the session. -Reuters

He, being an avid fan of Nasi Lemak, going north, south, east and west just to try the best nasi lemak in town has given him an insight and idea of starting a Nasi Lemak Cafe, one that has never existed in Malaysia. Not the ones u see in kopitiam in which it has the usual nasi lemak rendang ayam or nasi lemak ayam goreng. He has an ambience close to that of the Oldtown Kopitiam but focusing mainly only on Nasi Lemak.

Malaysia's visions of a more equal future.

I was reading through kennysia's website as usual and I saw a very interesting short note link from his blog. I read through it and makes me wonder even more. Where are we heading and what's next in it for us?

We have extremist and at the same time we have really humble people despite of their religion and race. But what will this cost us?

I don't know, really.

And, so I read the writting of Mukul Devichand who is a reporter with BBC Radio 4 in which he has came to Malaysia, interviewing people from all race on our future.

I met 22-year-old undergraduate Luqman Ul-Hakim Bin Muhhammad Idris under a metal Arabic letter M, known as "meem", which keeps watch on the extensive campus of the Universiti Teknologi Mara.

Meem stands for Malays - because while other parts of the education system have ethnic quotas, only bhumiputras are allowed to study here.

Luqman is the elected head of the student body. Last year he led a street protest after a state official remarked that perhaps one in 10 university places should be opened to minorities.

Education is a live issue, not only for Indians but also for the entrepreneurial Chinese. They make up a quarter of the population and hold much of the nation's wealth, which allows many to study privately.

But in Malaysia's growing blogosphere, there's an increasingly vocal sense of exclusion, mixed with frustration at severe security laws that allow detention without trial.

Luqman, a proud Malay, has no sympathy for this new activism. He points out that even after decades of affirmative action policies the ethnic Malays remain relatively impoverished.

But it isn't just about wealth. "This is our land basically. And we have already given one special privilege to the non-Malays, that is citizenship," he says.

Regarding the blogosphere he has a question for Malaysia's new prime minister: "When you're talking about opening the freedom of speech, how far do you want to go?"

2009, Here I Come!!!

2008 has been good. Well, at least better than 2007.

Better in financial wise, better in personal development, better in lots of other things.

I did quite abit of stuff in 2008. I even got my hair permed! after God knows how long.

I made more friends and I was with Jason in 2008.

Now that 2008 has come to an end, I'd have so many plans in 2009.

Problem is, would I achieve those plans?

Problem is, How can i achieve those plans?

How can I ensure that 2009 is nothing like 2008?

I need to have things different.

I need to change.
